Beauty Salonswot Analysis

Around Christmas time I have this Jewel in a Dresden Comic Shop bought. It is a comic book, the actual publication was long time ago. The Rocketeer was originally sold in the 80's and appeared recently in a fine collected edition comic book publisher in the German Cross Cult.
The story revolves around the daring stunt pilot Cliff Secord, who arrived by himself accidentally in the possession of a top-secret technology - the rocket pack. This can be so far already turbulent life be a little crazy. Since it does not help that his girlfriend, who hopes to break in show business, brings with jealousy even more dynamic in the story.
It is notable that the comic plays in the late 30's and offers a wonderfully nostalgic setting for an unusual story. Also appeared the pin up model from the 50s to par: the beautiful Betty Page.
The drawings of Stevens, who died much too early, are outstanding and the re-coloring by Laura Martin can be the relatively old comic shine completely fresh. For comparison, even the old and the new coloring:
tells the story himself in an Origin Story of the first skirmishes and another adventure set in New York.
Unfortunately, I must say, there is no more material from the Rocketeer, especially since the last story convinces completely and works, after the introduction of the characters, with its ensemble of characters. After all, there was one that I unfortunately still unknown, Disney film of 1991, which at least gives a promising impression. Who
crazy stories like it left something for the nostalgic transfigured time of 30s Hollywood cinema has and is not averse in the '50s prevailing feminine ideal should definitely here to access.
Initially I had my concerns about the German edition and wanted access to the English original. The presentation (large-format hardcover A4) and the epilogue really great with plenty of background information and the very good translation, I have it but not to hesitate any longer.
A colorful adventure full of magnificent pictures, sex appeal, Nazi spies and fair enthusiasts. I enjoyed it very much and am glad that this work has ever appeared on the German comic market.
€ 29.80 for 160 pages are investing here is not wrong.
Who is not sure, should consider this excerpt .
